Plug and Play Alberta Showcase & Innovation Expo

Maven served as the live production partner for Plug and Play Alberta’s first Expo Day, held in the modern lobby of The Ampersand in Calgary. The event featured pitch-style presentations from the program’s inaugural cohort of technology startups, connecting founders with industry experts and investors in a professional setting.

Maven deployed the CONSTELLATION core and a four-person crew to manage the full audio-visual production. Two 4K cameras captured the presentations, with a live-switched program recording produced for post-event use alongside a separate IMAG feed running to the venue’s built-in LED screen and two flanking TV monitors. A 10-wireless-microphone package allowed back-to-back panel presentations with no breaks for mic changeover. LED spotlights were tuned to complement the venue’s natural daylight and large windows. A separate video crew provided b-roll coverage and on-site interviews throughout the day, giving Plug and Play a library of content for an event highlight video and social media edits.
