Project Summary

Maven delivered broadcast coverage for the 2016 Men’s Roller Derby World Cup in Calgary, the sport’s largest international event with teams from over 20 countries. The tournament ran over four consecutive days with two tracks operating simultaneously, requiring non-stop, parallel live streaming coverage across both competition surfaces throughout the event.

The production featured seven cameras across both rinks, with a dedicated studio set for commentary and analysis segments. Instant replays gave viewers the ability to follow fast-moving action in detail, and the client provided specialized graphic overlays that ran on top of each live stream feed — a key element of the broadcast experience for the global audience. A redundant 4G internet connection provided streaming reliability throughout the multi-day event.
