Mission-critical bonded uplink solutions for the world’s most extreme alpine circuit.

The Freeride World Tour airlifts its entire production to the summit of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, requiring a broadcast solution that can withstand extreme alpine conditions. For the Golden, BC leg of the tour, Maven was engaged to provide a high-reliability IP video encoding and bonded uplink solution as an active failsafe to the primary satellite feed.
Operating within a cellular dead zone, we engineered a custom repeater station and deployed long-range radios to relay the signal from our encoders to accessible network points. By utilizing network bonding, we combined multiple cellular carriers into a single, high-bandwidth pipe. This allowed us to sustain a stable 1080p HD stream for a global audience at a fraction of the cost of traditional satellite technology, ensuring zero-fail delivery during a narrow weather window.
