Ethnik Festival of Arts & Culture (EFAC)

Maven served as the live video production partner for the Ethnik Festival of Arts & Culture (EFAC) at the Telus Convention Centre in Calgary. EFAC is a non-profit charitable organization that celebrates Afro-Canadian, Caribbean, and international cultures through vibrant art, music, and educational programs. Maven’s scope focused on multi-camera live switching for projection and simultaneous live streaming to the client’s YouTube Live and Facebook Live channels.

The production integrated Maven-provided cameras — including a Steadicam for dynamic stage coverage and additional fixed angles — with client-supplied units, with professional operators on each. Maven’s GEMINI core handled live switching, video playback, and signal distribution to both the venue screens and the streaming outputs. A five-person Maven crew managed the broadcast throughout the event. Live sound, stage lighting, and video projection were provided by other vendors engaged by the client, with Maven working as part of the broader production team.
