ACFP Family Medicine Summit Hybrid Production

Maven serves as the long-term live production and streaming partner for the Alberta College of Family Physicians (ACFP), managing the technical execution of their annual Family Medicine Summit. Running for 70 years, the Summit is the flagship event for ACFP, drawing 500+ in-person and online attendees for a fully hybrid multi-day program.

The event combines livestreamed plenary sessions with collaborative Zoom sessions requiring two-way audio and video between in-person and remote speakers, moderators, and attendees. Maven’s CONSTELLATION core handles the main stage, managing camera switching, presentation integration, and encoding for the online audience. A six-person crew supports the full program — including breakout sessions — managing the technical intricacies so the ACFP team can focus on program delivery. Maven also handles live sound reinforcement, projection, and the presenter support needed to keep both in-person and remote participants seamlessly connected throughout the event. Session recordings are delivered shortly after the event concludes for distribution to members to watch post-event for professional development credits.
